My first favorite fashion item is some sort of black oversized mens band tee. I get them big enough so that they almost fit like a large comfortable dress, and they usually have some sort of graphic on the front and back of the shirt. The next thing I add is some sort of thigh high stockings – usually fishnet or some sort of cutout pattern, and these are held up with black garters. I top this with ripped jean “daisy duke” shorts and black leather boots. Sometimes these are knee-high combat boots, sometimes these are motorcycle ankle boots with chains and studs on the back. Sometimes I prefer more casual wedge shoes though. For jewelry I include leather studded wristbands, a chain bracelet, unisex earrings, and chain necklaces, including one that has a silver gun shaped chain with a bullets charm as well. This is what I usually wear on a day to day basis and it is comfortable and I feel confident in what I wear. |

My favourite fashion items are hooded jumpers. I own several made by Divided and I love all of them. They are very colourful and unusual, and are key to my individualism which I regard as very important to my life. They can often be found in second hand shops so they can be bought quite cheaply but they are extremely well made and last a long time. I find them to be quite timeless as they are neither really in fashion or out of fashion but slightly wacky and different, and their wackines I like to accentuate by wearing things like wooden bead necklaces and other eclectic fashion items too. This reflects my personality completely so they are perfect for me and my fashion sense. They can be associated with alternative and skateboard culture, and sometimes with criminals in extreme cases, but this is the culture that I identify with most so these hooded jumpers fit my identity. I feel comfortable in them and they are very good at keeping you warm with the excellent hoods. Having said that, they can be great if you are too hot as a lot of them have a zip on the front so you can just unzip it and let some cool air in. This is why I love them, they are a perfect combination of all things I consider important, fashion and practicality. |
